The Hormones
Hormones are chemicals released by specific cells that affect cells in other parts of the body. Only a small amount of hormone is required to alter cell metabolism. It is also a chemical messenger that transports a signal from one cell to another. The makeup and balance of hormones are different among men and women, young and old. Hormones influence the way we feel, act and think. They connect us to each other and to the rhythm of life. These precious fluids flow through our bodies and never stop moving.

See each women's page for information about each corresponding hormone in this project.

See this wikipedia page about hormones in general.
