This is the web version of a talk given at
the Harvard Smithsonian Observatory in 1996, entitled Present.

During this presentation,
the processes of coral growth and brain neurodevelopment
were described while audience members were given
soft clay balls without any explanation.
As the audience listened to the information presented,
they formed the clay into some of the shapes that follow.
